Baenen Award for her untiring commitment to the advancement and well-being of the Iñupiaq people of Northwest Alaska. Qiġñaaq has helped revitalize Iñupiaq through her organization of sessions and other initiatives and projects. Sharing knowledge of language is one of the Iñupiat Iļitqusiat values, and her determination has empowered others to speak, practice and share.

Paałuk has helped revitalize Iñupiaq through many Iḷisaqativut sessions that empower others to speak, practice and share. Sharing Iñupiaq greatly demonstrates the Iñupiat Iļitqusiat values.

Iyaġak Walter Sampson received one of the 2021 NA Iyaġak Walter Sampson received one of the 2021 NANA Military Service Awards for his Army and Alaska National Guard service in defense of the United States. Iyaġak is a decorated Vietnam War veteran and he embodies strength, courage, resilience, responsibility, care and concern. He has also been a tireless voice for veterans to have the same rights to own land that the servicemen and women were not able to apply for due to serving abroad.

Irailaq Johnnie Ticket Sr. is one of the recipient Irailaq Johnnie Ticket Sr. is one of the recipients of the 2021 Military Service Award in recognition of his Alaska Territorial Guard and Army National Guard service in defense of the United States. Irailaq played an active role during the World War II Aleutian Islands campaign, which protected our home front, and it was a commendable sacrifice for Alaska and its people. He always encourages his children and community to work toward achieving goals.
