NANA Shareholders Elect 2026 Board of Directors

NANA held its 2026 Annual Meeting of Shareholders today, March 21, 2026, in Noorvik, Alaska. During the meeting, the following board members were elected to serve three-year terms on the NANA board:

  • Ambler: Nellie Sheldon
  • Buckland: Charlene Hadley
  • Deering: Emerson Moto
  • Kiana: Lee “Big Boy” Staheli
  • Kivalina: Myra Wesley
  • Kobuk: Pearl Gomez
  • Kotzebue: Adam Ferguson

The following board members are continuing directors: Alice E. Aliqataaq “Ali” Adams (Noatak), Lee Masruana Ballot Sr. (Noorvik), Tommy Panitchiaq Ballot Sr. (Selawik), Marvin Qanailaaq Barr (Kiana), Gloria Iviilik Carter (Deering), Eva G. Aqimayuk Harvey (At-Large), Johnetta Unaviqsruaq Horner (Kobuk), Gladys Ikkaiyuk Jones (Ambler), Linda Piquk Lee (Shungnak), Joseph Iikuluk Luther (Noatak), Anthony Suuyuk Norris (Shungnak), Conan Ayyataŋaq Sampson (Selawik), Greta Inuuraaq Schuerch (At-Large), William “Billy” Utauyuk Sheldon Jr. (Noorvik), Emma Suvluuraq Swan (Kivalina), Clara Pañiġrauq Ticket (Buckland).

ABOUT THE NANA BOARD: NANA Regional Corporation’s 23-member board is elected by the Corporation’s more than 15,500 Iñupiat shareholders. The board structure consists of two Iñupiat shareholder board members from each NANA regional community (with the exception of Kotzebue with one board seat), two at-large seats and a non-elected, non-voting, Elder advisor. Directors serve three-year terms.
