Nayuk Nellie Sheldon is a director from Ambler and has served on the NANA board since 1999. She previously served on the board from 1981 to 1993.

Nayuk makes her living as an Iñupiaq artist, utilizing the traditional basket-making skills she learned as a child.

In addition to her NANA board duties, she serves as a member of the Ivisaappaat Traditional Council and the Ambler Friends Church Ministry and Council.

Nayuk previously served as a bilingual aide for the Northwest Arctic Borough School District, council member for the City of Ambler and on the Ambler Traditional Council.
