Qimatchuq Gia Hanna

Director, At-Large

    Qimatchuq Gia Hanna is a director who was elected to the at-large seat in 2022. She currently serves as a council member for the Native Village of Kotzebue.

    In addition to her board duties, Qimatchuq is self-employed. She began her work for NANA in 1978. Until 2021, she was NANA’s vice president of shareholder relations.

    Qimatchuq previously served as a member of the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium board, on the Alaska Federation of Natives board, on Red Dog Mine’s employment and training committee as a member and chair, on the Northwest Arctic Leadership Team, the ANCSA shareholder relations committee, Northwest Arctic Borough’s COVID-19 task force, Alaska Federation of Natives convention committee and Alaska Technical Center advisory committee.
