Gia Qimatchuq Hanna is NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.’s vice president of Shareholder Relations. The position is responsible for implementing the department’s plans that are aligned with NANA’s strategic plan. Gia is responsible for leading, managing, and directing of approximately 23 staff, as well as programs in the region’s communities, Anchorage and Fairbanks.
These include oversight, management, budgeting and reporting on shareholder hire and development, and the leadership development program; shareholder records, dividends and the annual meeting of shareholders; shareholder communications via the shareholder portal, the Hunter newsletter, informal meetings and surveys; and staffing for the NANA board’s Shareholder Relations Committee and current Chair of the NANA/Teck Employment and Training Committee.
Hanna, a NANA shareholder, has more than two decades of leadership and management experience in the NANA region. Her 29 years of work with NANA include 20 years engaged in various management roles. She also worked as the Deputy Director for the Native Village of Kotzebue for five years.
