Our dedicated Resource Protection Officers (RPOs) work to safeguard our ancestral lands from illegal activity.

We want to provide a friendly reminder that it is legal for aircraft to fly over and land in the Kobuk River. The use of aircraft is illegal in the Noatak Controlled Use Area between Aug. 15 and Sept. 30 for big game hunting in any manner.

If you spot any misuse, we encourage you to report it promptly by reaching out to your local RPO or contacting the Alaska State Troopers directly.

We are excited to announce that NANA’s 2024 calendar will feature shareholder photography, showcasing the vibrant culture of our communities. We invite YOU to be a part of it! 📸✨

Share your most captivating photos that highlight the rich heritage and unique experiences of our culture. We would love to see photos of your family, friends or colleagues immersed in a traditional activity or gathering together enjoying a niqipiaq feast!

To submit your photos for consideration, please email them to communications@nana.com. Be sure to include your name, contact information and a brief description of each photo. Horizontal (landscape) photos are the preferred orientation. The higher the photo resolution, the better!

The deadline for submissions is Sept. 25, 2023. We encourage all shareholders to participate and hope to get submissions from each community! We can't wait to see your amazing photos! 📷

As of today, 45.3% of shares have participated in the vote to create the NANA PFD. If we successfully hit over 50%, everyone who voted will be automatically entered for a chance to win a 2024 Honda Foreman Rubicon or $10,000 in cash.

Would you like to serve on the Aqqaluk Trust Board

Would you like to serve on the Aqqaluk Trust Board of Trustees? There are currently two vacant seats, and the application period is open! Each seat will serve a three-year term. Send a letter of interest by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, 2023.

The Aqqaluk Trust works to empower Iñupiat through language, culture and education. The Trust also encourages NANA shareholders to continue their education and to bring their skills and knowledge back to their people.

If you are a NANA shareholder, age 18 or older, and you would like to serve on the Aqqaluk Trust Board of Trustees, please submit a letter of interest by emailing ShareholderRelations@nana.com or mailing to P.O. Box 49, Kotzebue, AK 99752. All submissions must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6.

Due to regulations set by the IRS, direct family members of Trustees such as children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents and spouses in addition to the spouses of the Trustees’ parents and children are not eligible for scholarship funding through the Aqqaluk Trust.
