NANA Regional Corporation, Inc. Announces 2013 Spring Shareholder Dividend

Kotzebue, Alaska – March 16, 2013 – NANA Regional Corporation, Inc. (NANA), is pleased to announce that the board of directors declared a  2013 spring dividend of $7.72 per share payable on or about April 1, 2013, to shareholders of record as of March 22, 2013. The total distribution is approximately $12 million paid to NANA’s more than 13,000 Iñupiat shareholders.

“This spring dividend is the result of a year of solid teamwork by NANA employees,” said Donald G. Sheldon, NANA’s board chairman. “I applaud their effort and their commitment to improving the lives of our shareholders.”

This distribution fulfills the board’s goal of paying the shareholder dividend in two parts, and is the second half of the $7.72 per share dividend that was distributed to shareholders on Nov. 9, 2012. The spring dividend payment will result in a total shareholder distribution of $15.44 per share in NANA’s fiscal year 2013.

In addition to dividends, NANA contributes millions of dollars each year to scholarships, medical, burial and disaster assistance, village economic development, language preservation and other important social, cultural, infrastructure and energy programs for shareholders and Northwest Alaska.
