NANA elects 2016 board officers and appoints subsidiary board members

April 7, 2016 – ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.’s (NANA) board of directors elected the following board officers at its regular board meeting today:

1ST VICE-CHAIR                 DONALD SHELDON               
2ND VICE-CHAIR                MARTHA WHITING                        
TREASURER                        GLADYS JONES
SECRETARY                        DIANA RAMOTH


Additionally, NANA’s board elected three board members to serve on the nine-member board of directors of its wholly-owned subsidiary, NANA Development Corporation (NDC): Ely Cyrus, Allen Ticket, Sr. and Hendy Ballot, Sr.

NDC’s continuing directors are: Pearl Gomez, Harvey Vestal, Joseph Luther, Gladys Jones, Linda Lee, and Donald G. Sheldon.

ABOUT THE NANA BOARD: NANA Regional Corporation’s 23-member board is elected by the Corporation’s more than 14,000 Iñupiat shareholders. The board structure consists of two Iñupiat shareholder board members from each NANA regional community (with the exception of Kotzebue with one board seat), two at-large seats and an Elder Advisor. Officers serve three-year terms.
