May 10th is Mining Day in Alaska
Anchorage, Alaska - The Alaska Miners Association (AMA) will host a special breakfast in Anchorage for members, media, and the public to celebrate the first annual Mining Day in Alaska. NANA executive receives ATHENA Award
Helvi Sandvik received the 2013 ATHENA Award at a luncheon in the Dena'ina Center on Monday. The award, which comes with a complimentary one-year lease on a Volkswagen Passat, is presented by the Anchorage ATHENA Society, a program of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce that recognizes, encourages and mentors women in the local business community.
